SERVICES at Kindful Place Therapy Center

You may be carrying more than anyone realizes.

Maybe you feel overwhelmed all the time, but keep pushing through.
Maybe your child’s behavior, emotions, or school struggles have started taking over daily life.
Maybe your family feels stuck in the same painful patterns, and no one knows how to make things better.
Or maybe you’ve been holding trauma, stress, and responsibility for so long that you can’t remember what ease feels like.

At Kindful Place Therapy Center, we offer compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy for children, teens, adults, and families who are tired of surviving on their own.

We help you find relief, clarity, and a path forward.

Individual Therapy

For adults who feel exhausted, stuck, or weighed down

You may look like you have it together on the outside, while internally you are carrying anxiety, sadness, self-doubt, burnout, or the lasting effects of trauma.

Individual therapy can help if you:

  • feel overwhelmed or emotionally drained

  • struggle with anxiety, depression, or panic

  • carry pain from childhood, family wounds, or past relationships

  • have a hard time setting boundaries

  • feel stuck in unhealthy patterns

  • are navigating a major life change and don’t feel grounded

  • are tired of being “the strong one” for everyone else

Therapy offers a space where you do not have to perform, minimize, or hold it all together.

Child and Teen Therapy

Gentle support for children and adolescents who are struggling

Children and teens often express stress, trauma, anxiety, or sadness in ways that may not always make sense at first.

They may act out, shut down, become irritable, withdraw, or have a hard time at home or school.

Child and teen therapy can help young people who are:

  • experiencing anxiety or worry

  • feeling sad, overwhelmed, or withdrawn

  • having trouble with emotional regulation

  • struggling with behavior concerns

  • dealing with trauma or instability

  • having a hard time at school

  • facing self-esteem or identity challenges

  • feeling disconnected from family or peers

We provide a calm, caring space where children and teens can feel safe, understood, and supported.

Family Therapy

Support for families feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected

When one person is struggling, it often impacts the whole family. Over time, patterns can form that leave everyone feeling frustrated or unheard.

You might be noticing:

  • Ongoing conflict or power struggles

  • Miscommunication and tension at home

  • Feeling like nothing you try is working

  • Everyone caring but no one feeling understood

In family therapy, we help:

  • Make sense of each person’s experience

  • Shift patterns that keep everyone stuck

  • Improve communication in real, practical ways

  • Create a more calm, connected home environment

Because when the system begins to shift, everyone benefits.

Parent Support & Guidance

You don’t have to figure this out on your own

Parenting can feel overwhelming... especially when your child is struggling and nothing seems to be helping.

You might be feeling:

  • Unsure how to respond to your child’s behavior

  • Exhausted from trying everything

  • Worried you’re getting it wrong

  • Stuck between being supportive and setting limits

We work with parents to:

  • Understand what’s driving their child’s behavior

  • Learn practical, effective ways to respond

  • Feel more confident, calm, and supported

  • Strengthen connection with their child

You don’t need more pressure or perfection. You need support that actually helps.

Building Skills for Real-Life Change

Sometimes families are looking for more than weekly therapy. They want structured support, clear tools, and a shared way to grow together.

That’s where our Kindful Behaviors Program comes in.

If you have a child who struggles to make good choices, or you find yourself unsure how to best support them, this program offers a guided path forward, without shame or blame.

The Kindful Behaviors Program is a 10-week experience for both a child and caregiver, focused on helping children build the skills they need while strengthening connection at the same time.

Together, you’ll learn how to:

  • Understand the “why” behind behaviors

  • Build emotional awareness and regulation

  • Support more thoughtful, intentional choices

  • Respond in ways that feel calm, connected, and effective

The program is based on the co-owner’s award-finalist children’s book Our Choices, and includes a complimentary journal to support learning between sessions.

If you have more than one child or caregiver, we can tailor the experience to best support your family.

Because real change happens when kids and caregivers learn and practice together, not separately.

OUR APPROACH

We show up with curiosity, compassion, and respect—for every person’s experience.

Our work is:

  • Trauma-informed – we look beneath the surface, not just at behaviors

  • Neurodiversity-affirming – we honor differences, not try to “fix” them

  • Relationship-centered – because connection is where meaningful change happens

  • Practical and real-life focused – tools you can actually use outside of sessions

No judgment. No one-size-fits-all.
Just thoughtful, meaningful support

What Therapy Looks Like

Starting therapy doesn’t have to feel complicated.

Here’s what to expect:

1. Initial Consultation

We begin with a conversation to understand what’s going on and what you’re hoping for. We then connect you with a therapist that feels like the best fit for your needs. We will also send you your intake documents to fill out prior to your first session.

2. Getting to Know You

We take time to understand your experiences, patterns, and strengths.

3. Ongoing Support

We work together to build insight, develop skills, and create meaningful change—at a pace that feels right for you.

A Different Kind of Therapy Experience

At Kindful Place, we believe:

  • Behavior is communication

  • Emotions deserve understanding, not pressure

  • Relationships can heal with the right support

  • You don’t have to do this perfectly

This is a space where things start to make sense.
Where you can exhale.
Where change feels possible.
